Happy Thursday! I'm back from Egypt and Jordan... and it was AMAZING. Jordan has been at the top of my list for a few years now, and finally getting to go was a dream come true. The country truly exceeded my expectations in every way, from the food to the people to seeing one of the seven Wonders of the World. I think a week in Jordan is the perfect amount of time there, and this time of year had no crowds and the weather was great! A little chilly, but I'd rather need a light jacket than be sweating all week. I wish I was in Egypt a little longer than three nights, but seeing the pyramids in person feels unreal, and there's no way to describe the feeling of standing in front of one. I'll have my full reivew of the trip out next week, plus Youtube videos every Thursday with daily vlogs of the trip - my first one is already out! Next, I want to share some ways I use Google Flights to find all the best and cheapest flights.. Google Flights is one of the best tools for booking airfare, but to get the best deals, you need to know how to use it. Here are a few ways to filter your search and make sure you're seeing the best options: ✅ Filter by Stops, Price, and Duration – Avoid long layovers by selecting “Nonstop” or setting a maximum number of stops. You can also set a price limit and choose a maximum flight duration to avoid long travel days. ✅ Adjust Departure and Arrival Times – If you prefer early morning or late-night flights, use the time filters to narrow your options. This is useful if you want to maximize time at your destination, especially for short trips. ✅ Use the Explore Feature – If your destination is flexible, the “Explore” tool can help. Enter your departure city and choose “Flexible dates” to see cheap flights to destinations around the world. This is a great way to find budget-friendly trips. ✅ Check the Date Grid & Price Graph – If your travel dates are flexible, use the Date Grid to compare prices for different days. Sometimes, shifting your trip by a day or two can save you hundreds. The Price Graph shows trends over time, so you can see which dates are the cheapest for a specfic number of days. Next time you’re searching for flights, try using these filters to make your search easier. I'll be back next week with even more Google Flights tips! Should you get it, and if so, which one? YES, you should have travel insurance, as you never know when things may go wrong. SafetyWing is my go-to for travel insurance because it covers so much, is easy to purchase for days or months, and is affordable. Many credit cards also include travel insurance. Personally, I get SafetyWing on top of my credit card insurance. Learn more about SafetyWing and the benefits of using them in my blog post about travel insurance. |

At TBEX North America 2025 in Quebec City Happy Thursday! I spent last week exploring a couple cities in Canada, and it was such a great time. First, I was in Quebec City for a travel conference called TBEX where me and a bunch of other bloggers and travel creators learn, network, and most importantly, have some fun! Then I met my mom in Toronto and I absolutely fell in love with the city. It reminds me of Chicago in a way, but more compact. If you're ever in Toronto, don't miss out on the...
Kyoto, Japan Happy Thursday! I'm home from Japan, and if you noticed by my lack of an email last week... the jetlag took me out! However, Japan was absolutely incredible and is now easily one of my new favorite countries. I'll have my full review of the trip in next week's newsletter, and Japan YouTube videos are coming VERY soon! Until then, I wanted to talk about one thing I NEVER travel without: Travel Insurance One of the things I get asked about the most is travel insurance. Should you...
