My favorite travel booking websites ✈️

Happy Tuesday!

Today I wanted to help you get ready for your spring and summer travels by sharing all my favorite travel planning resources. They help me find hotels at the best prices, get cheap flights, and stay connected.

Hotels & Accommodation

  • Booking.com – This is one of the main sites I use to book hotels when I travel. It has a huge selection of hotels and hostels around the world, and I like that you can filter by location, price, and review score to find good options quickly.
  • Agoda – I also check Agoda when booking hotels, especially in Asia. Sometimes the prices are lower than other booking platforms, so it is always worth comparing when you are looking for accommodation.
  • Vrbo – This is a good option when you want an apartment or house instead of a hotel. I usually look here if I am staying somewhere longer or traveling with friends and want more space.

Flights & Flight Deals

  • Daily Drop – This is one of the tools I use to find cheap flights. I use the paid version, and it alerts you when there are good flight deals from your home airport so you can book when prices drop.
  • Thrifty Traveler – Another flight deal service I use that sends alerts when cheap flights pop up. I use the premium version and it has helped me find some great deals over the years. If you sign up using my link or code EXPONENTIALTRAVELS, you can get $20 off your first year.

Transportation

  • 12Go – This is very useful when traveling in Asia. You can book buses, trains, ferries, and private transfers between cities and islands, which makes planning transportation much easier. Plus, until April 30, 2026, you can use code TP10 to save 10% on your first booking, up to $6.75 off.
  • Rail Europe – I use this site to book train tickets across Europe. It is an easy way to search routes and buy individual train tickets between cities.

Travel Essentials

  • Airalo – This is the app I use to get data when traveling internationally. Instead of buying a physical SIM card, you can download an eSIM and have data ready as soon as you land.
  • SafetyWing – I usually purchase travel insurance before trips, and this is the company I use. It works well for both short trips and longer travel.
  • NordVPN – I always use a VPN when I connect to public Wi-Fi while traveling, especially in airports, hotels, and cafés. It helps protect your data and can also be useful if you need secure access to websites or accounts while abroad.

Travel Experiences

  • EF Ultimate Break – I have taken 11 trips with this group travel company and it is a great option if you want to travel with other people in the 18-35 age group. If you decide to book a trip, you can use my code UASarahET100 for $100 off your first trip.
  • Flytographer – This service connects you with local photographers around the world so you can book a professional photo shoot while traveling. If you book through my link, you can get $25 off your first booking.

Those are lots of the resources I use, and I hope they help you when you start planning your next trip. If you have any travel questions, or have anything you'd like me to cover in an upcoming email, hit reply. I read every email, and your idea might become reality!

You can always follow along with my current travels on Instagram and Facebook.

Have a great week :)

Happy Tuesday! Let's be real here, it has been a while. The last time I emailed you was about five months ago, and as we all know, life can get busy quick. But I am getting back into it starting now. Since then I have been traveling, filming new videos, and working on plans for upcoming trips. My primary focus has been on YouTube, where I have been sharing all my adventures through Southeast Asia. That's where I spent the fall. I last emailed from there, and if you check out my videos, you'll...

Sunset in Krabi, Thailand Happy Thursday! I'm writing to you from my hotel pool in Krabi, Thailand and wow, life is good right now. I absolutely love Thailand and I'm so lucky to be here for as long as I am exploring the beaches and the islands. Since I've taken six flights since the beginning of the month, I wanted to talk about something that makes travel days easier for me - airport lounges. Airport lounges can make a big difference when you’re waiting for a flight. They give you a quiet...

Happy Thursday! Hello from Malaysia! I'm here doing some solo travel before a group trip in Thailand... two of my favorite countries in Southeast Asia :) This is my longest solo trip in a while, and it got me thinking about safety when you travel. I feel fully safe traveling on my own, but a lot of that is because I know how to prepare, what to look out for, and I always trust my gut. Traveling is exciting, but it’s important to stay alert and prepared no matter where you go. Whether you’re...
