Sorry for the delay... WiFi hasn't been the greatest here in Ecuador!

As I'm deep into my travels in South America, I wanted to share one travel product that has genuinely made a difference for me: eSIMs.

For years, I just used the international data included with my T-Mobile plan. It worked, but I never had great service. Once I started using an eSIM instead, specifically Airalo, I noticed a huge difference. My data is faster, more reliable, and I don't find myself searching for Wi-Fi nearly as often.

I still download offline maps before every trip because it's always good to have a backup, but I use my data constantly while I'm traveling. I'm translating signs and menus, checking train schedules, calling Ubers, looking up opening hours, messaging hotels, and figuring things out as I go. It's also something I like having for emergencies. If a flight gets delayed, plans change, or I need help, I know I can get online right away.

One thing I really like about Airalo is that you have different options depending on your trip. If you're only visiting one country, you can buy a country-specific eSIM. If you're traveling around Europe or Southeast Asia, you can get a regional eSIM that works across multiple countries. They even have global eSIMs if you're taking a bigger trip. It's nice not having to buy a new SIM every time you cross a border.

The setup is also really easy. I usually buy and install my eSIM before I leave home, then as soon as I land, I turn it on and I'm connected within a couple of minutes.

I've used Airalo on trips all over the world now, and it's become one of those things I don't travel without anymore. If you're planning a trip soon, I definitely recommend checking it out.
